hi! i'm kacie, she/her, mid 20s.
i have a ba in english and history, and an ma in english. i'm a second year phd student in english, and my research is broadly interested in media participation cultures and affect theory.
this site started off as a passion project during the first summer of my phd program. i've been spelunking online since i was a child, and have a nostalgic love for y2k internet cultures. i made this site, in part, to move away from the corporate, ai-filled, technofascist state of contemporary social platforms. i also wanted to more seriously explore html and css after fumbling around with css language while making twine games. not that i'm a serious coder at all, haha. pls ignore the messiness of this website's code.
i'm from the southern usa, and have lived in small towns most of my life (the smallest being a population of 64). i have a deep affection for rural areas, and the alternative cultures that emerge from them <3
